"Volunteers don't get paid, not because they're worthless, but because they're priceless." -Sherry Anderson

Volunteering here with us, means you are now part of the HSWC family. Being a volunteer means giving some of your heart to those who need it most, and is one of the most self-fulfilling things you can do. Many who volunteer, tend to find that it not only benefits the animals, but it benefits them too.

"I volunteer because of the unconditional love I feel from the animals and I just enjoy the atmosphere!" - Janet

"Act as if what you do makes a difference..it does!" -William James

There are never enough hands to do the work here at the shelter, that's why we need YOU to volunteer, even if it's an hour week.

Our team of volunteers are amazing at their work and we appreciate each and every one of their help.
